Generosity......

Got only two hour's of sleep.I woke up as early as 4am just to go to Santo Domingo Church.The mission....to sell Dominicards in every masses until 12 noon.I was with my friend Darlene,my mission companion.Dominicards are special Christmas cards made by the Dominican Seminarians.The proceeds of these cards will go to scholarship funding programs and other programs of the different organizations under the umbrella of the Dominican family.As part of the Dominican family, a member of MUKHA AD,I commit a day for selling.
Sleepy I am...I tried to do my best to bring out the best smile I ever had just to attract and encourage people to buy.I was with Fray Dexter,a Dominican brother who patiently motivating me.By the grace of God were able to sell about 5 thousand pesos.THANKS BE TO GOD!
Another task occured.While we are selling,people began to asked where they can donate for the people of Bicol who was affected by the recent thypoon Reming.Pictures of damages were flashed in the screen.The massgoers were encouraged to give for the fund drive. So,we decided to accept donations.
That time...Generosity was very evident in every people.The consciousness was there...they gave their part.Were able to raise at least 6 thousand.
Life is hard now a days.Its true but the spirit of giving is what the message of Advent season.Each one of us has a part to do so that our less fortunate brothers and sisters will be able to cope up amidst life's adversities.
